At DiabeticAlertDogs.org, we’re more than a training company—we’re a lifeline for individuals managing diabetes. Since 2016, we’ve been passionately committed to improving lives through the placement of highly trained, responsive, and loving diabetic alert dogs.
As a division of Love My Dog Inc., based in LaGrange, Georgia (just outside Atlanta), our program has gained national recognition for its excellence in training and service. We work with clients across the United States, delivering dogs that are not just skilled at detecting blood sugar fluctuations—but also become joyful, active companions.
Our dogs are trained to detect both hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and hyperglycemia (high blood sugar) through scent detection—often before symptoms are physically felt. These alerts can make the difference between a minor correction and a medical emergency.
Every dog we train undergoes months of structured socialization, obedience, and alert-response training tailored to real-world situations. We believe the training must reflect real life—because that’s where it matters most.
We carefully select each dog for their temperament, intelligence, and energy level to ensure they’re not only effective alert dogs—but also great companions. From playful Labradors to eager Golden Retrievers, our dogs are full of personality and purpose.
Please Note: For safety reasons, we do not place our diabetic alert dogs in homes with bull breed dogs.
